Bull's Eye

Where the friendly "Bull's Eye" twinkles

The Bull's Eye is a delicious concoction which was "invented" during a meeting of the planning committee of the supervisory board of the Hellweg Dairy. This drink has since been patented. The reason for the invention was that during the meeting they ran out of Westphalian Schnapps, so without further ado Landrat Blume produced a bottle of Mocha Liqueur and added a dash of Soest dairy double cream to the glass.

After a few rounds the honourable gentlemen decided that this combination reminded them of a bull's eye twinkling at them. This was the birth of the national drink of Soest - the Bull's Eye - which is now an integral part of the All Saints' Fair. This friendly Bull's Eye has since conquered other fairs in the region and during the winter can be found twinkling in an ever increasing number of restaurants and pubs.
